The House of Z started with a simple question: 'Where are you actually supposed to put your CPAP machine?'
For our founder, Paul, that question came from personal experience.
After being diagnosed with severe sleep apnoea and starting CPAP therapy, Paul quickly experienced the benefits of treatment — but also discovered a problem that millions of CPAP users know all too well.
The machine. The mask. The hose. The power cables. The distilled water. The accessories.
They all needed somewhere to go.
With more than 10 years' experience as a licensed builder in Newcastle, Australia, Paul has spent his career creating homes where thoughtful design and functionality go hand in hand. So naturally, he started thinking there had to be a better way to integrate CPAP therapy into the bedroom.
And that's where The House of Z began.
Designed around CPAP. Made for the bedroom.
Rather than trying to make a standard bedside table work with CPAP equipment, we approached the problem from the other direction.
We designed a bedside table specifically for people who use CPAP.
Every detail has been considered around the everyday CPAP experience — from keeping your machine accessible and managing hoses and cables, to creating dedicated storage for your mask, distilled water and accessories.
The result is a functional piece of bedroom furniture that helps keep your CPAP equipment organised and accessible, without making your bedroom feel clinical.
Because CPAP is part of your life — but it doesn't need to take over your bedroom.

We're a team with backgrounds in building, joinery and design, creating a product inspired by real experience with CPAP therapy.
We understand the little frustrations because we've experienced them too.
